Athlete Highlight: Brady Reed takes the win at the Sealy Road Race in the P/1/2 field

Brady Reed has been one to watch this year. The Sealy Road Race was no exception- he took the win.

Brief event/course description:

68 mile road race. Mostly flat and very windy. Road to and from the race for a total of 128 miles

How’d the race go down for you?

Attacked from the gun, road all day in a small breakaway and won the sprint for 1st place.

Which coach do you work with and how did your training help you prepare for the event?

Mitchell Sides. Mixing steady state/sweet spot intervals with volume prepared me for the all day breakaway. This race also gave me some intensity in my prep for USA Cycling Elite Nationals 2 weeks after Sealy.

What advice do you have for someone up and coming in your cycling discipline?

Race, race, race! And find a coach/mentor that can help with the training, tactics, and mindset needed to be successful in the sport.
