Sylvia Maas Sets Record At Race Across The West

Sylvia Maas is no stranger to arduous challenges so it’s no shocker that she set a record recently at Race Across the West!! From Race Across the West’s post (see original):

TEAM IN OUR PRIME FINISHES WITH JUST ONE RIDER

R201 In Our Prime, USA, finished first in the 2-Person Female (50-59) category.

Team In Our Prime is made up of teammates Sylvia Maas, 56, and Karin Weller, 57. In 2018, they set a new record of 451.2 miles as a two person female team (50-59) at the 6-12-24 Hour World Time Trial Championships in Borrego Springs.

During this year’s RAW, the team’s spirit and tenacity were tested, as can be expected in events of this nature. Karin needed to withdraw from the race at Camp Verde, AZ. Sylvia Warriored-Up and completed the next 428 miles solo! She credits her crew for keeping her on the bike nonstop, tending to her every need.

Next? Sylvia is off to the Senior Games in a couple days in Albuquerque, where she will compete in the basketball tournament!

Congratulations, In Our Prime!
