Grant Harrison, MS

Grant earned a Master of Science- Exercise Physiology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and began coaching with Source Endurance in 2011. Grant combines his formal education with almost 20 years of racing and 8 years of coaching experience to help his athletes succeed in their respective discipline. As a coach, Grant has led various types of athletes to achieve athletic success while implementing his knowledge of physiology, nutrition, and principles of strength training.

Most recently, Grant has come back to his roots with a resurgence into mountain biking where his initial interest in cycling began. He participates and coaches athletes in major mountain bike and gravel competitions such as the Mt. Borah Epic, Chequamegon 40 and 100, Copper Harbor Trails Fest, Lutsen 99er and The Heck of the North. Grant has been successful in coaching athletes in a wide range of cycling type races such as mountain biking, gravel races, criteriums and road races.

Having a diverse athletic background in football, soccer, and hockey, Grant has worked with many different types of athletes over the years to improve agility, power, strength and endurance. He believes that at the core of success is having entire body dynamic strength that goes beyond the bike. In addition he understands and utilizes his nutrition knowledge to aid his athletes in developing strategies that are specific to their needs and goals. 

Grant has also gained recent experience as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist in cardiac rehab and diagnostics. In this role, he has helped many people restore their health through exercise prescription and necessary testing protocols. This clinical experience may be helpful for any client who has undergone a wide array or cardiac conditions.
