Rider Highlight: Dean Parker wins the Men's 60+ Omnium at Tour of Kansas City

Dean Parker’s consistency helped him win the overall at the Tour of Kansas City in the Men’s 60+ race:

Brief event/course description:

Time Trial, Circuit Race (with big hill every lap) and Crit

How’d the race go down for you?

2nd in TT, 7th in Circuit Race (mechanical) and 2nd in Crit. KOM and Prem points helped to win the 60+ Omnium.

Which coach do you work with and how did your training help you prepare for the event?

I work with Adam Mills. My weakness is sprinting. After a good base and endurance level Adam helped my speed.

What advice do you have for someone up and coming in your cycling discipline?

If you are serious about racing and good results, get a coach. Having that guidance and following it, is a lot more productive than just riding a lot.
